Oroville Spillway and Evacuation Information

The National Weather Service is tracking and forecasting an El Niño event for Winter 2015/2016. El Niño events may bring heavy rainfall to the area, which can result in flooding. To help Butte County residents prepare, The County has put together a flood preparedness page at www.buttecounty.net and Butte 2-1-1 has compiled the following list of information and resources.

Sandbag Locations

Butte County’s Office of Emergency Management has put together a list of locations throughout Butte County that offer sandbags, bulk sand, and empty bags to help people prepare against flooding. The Full list is available at www.buttecounty.net/oem/DisasterPreparedness/SandbagLocations.aspx Please contact the location to verify current availability of sand or bags.

PG&E Power Outages

You can view a map of all reported power outages at m.pge.com/#outages. If you smell natural gas, see downed power lines or suspect another emergency situation, leave the area immediately and then call 9-1-1 or PG&E’s 24-hour customer service center at  1-800-743-5000
